PAGASA: More areas under wind signals due to Pepito; Ofel re-entry possible
Wind signals have been raised in more areas as Typhoon Pepito rapidly intensifies, according to PAGASA’s 5 p.m. cyclone bulletin.
More areas under Wind Signals No. 1 and 2 as Typhoon Pepito gains strength
Ofel was last located 205 kilometers west-northwest of Itbayat, Batanes, moving north-northwestward at 15 kph. The cyclone is also carrying maximum sustained winds of 100 kph and gusts of up to 125 kph.
PAGASA: Typhoon Ofel Continues to Weaken, Pepito Intensifies
PAGASA reported that Severe Tropical Storm Pepito was last spotted at 795 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar with maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 135 kph. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 was raised in the following areas as Pepito strengthens:
