Boston Red Sox lefty Garrett Crochet addressed the possibility of signing a long-term extension for the first time since last year's trade deadline. At least for the time being, it doesn't sound like something that's high on his priority list.

The Red Sox intend to make extending Garrett Crochet a priority this winter. On Wednesday, though, he offered a stark reminder that such a deal is no slam dunk.

The Boston Red Sox finally got their superstar ace this offseason to replace Chris Sale when they traded for Garret Crochet. Crochet only has two years left on his contract, so the Sox need to sign him to an extension to keep him long-term.
