WESTPORT, CT (WFSB) - An antisemitic snowman led to an investigation by police in Westport. The snowman with a swastika was discovered at the Newman Poses Preserve on Feb. 9 around 5:40 p.m., police said.

Westport police are seeking the public's help in finding who is responsible for displaying anti-Semitic symbols found on a snowman at a local park over the weekend. A local Rabbi told police on Sunday night that someone had found a snowman showing anti-Semitic symbols at Newman Poses Preserve.

The group wrote on Facebook, "The Holocaust was a singularly evil event, and it is inappropriate and offensive to make light of it. At a time of rising hate and antisemitism, we call upon community leaders to speak out against this hate.
