Thousands of mourners, carrying flags and orange balloons, gathered Wednesday for the funeral procession of Shiri Bibas and her sons, who were killed in Gaza captivity and had become symbols of Israel's hostage ordeal.

Human remains returned to Israel by Hamas on Friday have been confirmed as those of former hostage Shiri Bibas, according to a statement from her family provided Saturday by the hostage relatives’ forum.

The remains of a woman killed while in captivity by Hamas was supposedly handed over to Israel on Friday, a day after her body was supposed to be brought back.
