A daylight armed carjacking on Edgewood Avenue Tuesday led to the arrests of three, two men from Hamden and a North Branford teen, police said. It was just before 5 p.m. when cops were called to the area of Beers Street near Edgewood Avenue where they met the victim,

Three people were arrested on Tuesday in New Haven after an armed carjacking, according to police. The two men allegedly held the car owner at gunpoint before driving away in his black Infinity G37 sedan.

New Haven police say officers arrested two men and a juvenile after two of them fled in a vehicle that had been stolen in an armed carjacking on Tuesday.

Officers discovered he was in possession of a handgun with a loaded high-capacity magazine. The Infiniti then fled at high speed onto a sidewalk. Officers deployed stop sticks to puncture the vehicle’s tires near Whalley Avenue and Carmel Street.
