After a few years and a handover of the shield, Captain America is back. Marvel Studios’ latest adventure and the fourth solo Cap movie, “Captain America: Brave New World,” is opening in theaters this weekend and has made $12 million in Thursday previews at the box office.

EXCLUSIVE: Neither Los Angeles rain nor Northeast snow are keeping audiences away from cinemas tonight as Disney/Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World, a continuation of both Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier and 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, is eyeing a $12M Thursday after previews which began at 2PM earlier today.

The Marvel Studios' movie is the year's first tentpole and is on course to collect $90 million-plus over the long Valentine's Day/Presidents Day weekend.
