As Tennessee wraps its spring practice slate, the Volunteers have decided to move on from star QB Nico Iamaleava amid NIL contract negotiations. The talks escalated to the point that Iamaleava did not attend Tennessee's practice Friday ahead of its Orange & White spring game on Saturday,

Iamaleava reportedly wanted to renegotiate his NIL agreement after other quarterbacks received more lucrative deals after last season.

Quarterback Nico Iamaleava was not at Tennessee 's Orange and White game Saturday and is no longer on the roster. It appears Iamaleava is headed toward the transfer portal that opens Wednesday, as coach Josh Heupel had a short answer before the spring game about the past 48 hours.
