Tsion Clayton, 23, and Kimone Green, 21, both of Lowndes County, GA, have each been charged with one count of malice murder in the death of Brianna Long, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

The deputy, Staff Sgt. Buck Aldridge, fatally shot Leonard Cure during a traffic stop in Georgia in 2023. Officials said the deputy used reasonable force.

Brianna Long, 21, was closing up the bar in Valdosta when the shooting occurred outside and she was hit by a bullet, according to the GBI.

Leonard Cure, a Black man exonerated after 16 years in prison, was fatally shot by a Georgia deputy during a traffic stop in October 2023.
