The father of LSU football QB Garrett Nussmeier is set to interview for a role on the New Orleans Saints' coaching staff

New Saints HC Kellen Moore continues to search for his new coordinators with three interviews being scheduled.

On Sunday night in New Orleans, Doug Nussmeier reached the pinnacle of the sport. Serving as the Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback coach, Nussmeier won a Super Bowl. The Eagles beat the Chiefs in a 40-22 drubbing. The Eagles were up 34-0 at one point, and the final score suggests the game was closer than it was.

As the Saints continue interviewing candidates to fill the offensive and defensive coordinator positions, they have hired two offensive coaches.

Eagles quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier followed Kellen Moore from the Cowboys to the Chargers to the Eagles.

Now, there's speculation Nussmeier could be on his way to New Orleans too, joining Moore's staff. Moore expressed his intent to call plays, but Nussmeier could still be an integral part of the offense as offensive coordinator.
