Plans revealed for new Costco in Washington County
A major announcement has just been made in the redevelopment of a former mall set to be demolished in Washington County.

It was recently announced that the old Washington Mall will be demolished to make way for new development and the anchor store will be Costco.Washington County’s Commissioners made the announcement during a real estate expo at Washington & Jefferson College Wednesday.

Once the old Washington Mall is torn down, Costco will become the anchor tenant. When Costco takes over the property, which has been empty for more than a decade, it will be one of the biggest stores in southwest Pennsylvania, bringing hundreds of new jobs to the area.
