I love museums! The Chinese house is worth the visit if you don’t see any of the other exhibits. I enjoyed many pieces of artwork through out. However, The Witch Trials which has always been intrigu… Full review by 880BarbaraM

Lot of great exhibits, even if some were not all that personally interesting. The exhibits for 1692 witch trials, Moby Dick illustrations, Magician/Illusionist history and Maritime all were well done… Full review by David S

There are several hotels in downtown Salem. The Hotel Salem and The Merchant are the newest. They look nice, but I have never stayed there. The venerable Hawthorne Hotel is off of Salem Common. Each of the hotels is within an easy walk from the Peabody Essex Museum.

I would suggest an hour or more to stroll and admire but you can definitely fast pace if ypu are in a hurry. So the perfect answer depending on your level of attention to details...

I would suggest an hour or more to stroll and admire but you can definitely fast pace if ypu are in a hurry. So the perfect answer depending on your level of attention to details... we admired some artworks longer than others and we skipped others. We were there 2 hrs. Enjoy your trip.
